Carrollton (Georgia) 2026 offensive tackle Zykie Helton made his commitment on Saturday afternoon to the Crimson Tide

CARROLLTON, GEORGIA- Protecting sophomore phenom quarterback Julian Lewis from being touched is a pretty important gig for an offensive lineman at Carrollton High School.

Entrusted with that last season was a fellow freshman, Zykie Helton, and on Sunday afternoon he announced early on where he will be playing after he’s done in high school.

Carrollton (Georgia) sophomore offensive tackle Zykie Helton announced Saturday afternoon via Twitter that he is committing to the Crimson Tide. The offensive tackle is a Class of 2026 prospect and also has offers on the table from Auburn, Georgia and UConn.

At 6-foot-3, 315 pounds, Helton early on figures to be one of the top offensive linemen prospects of the 2026 class. His versatility at the offensive tackle position enables him to play at either left or right for the Trojans.
