The Class of 2026 quarterback announced on Wednesday his eight finalists

CARROLLTON, GEORGIA- If you ask many people around the country, Carrollton sophomore quarterback Julian Lewis is the top signal caller in the nation regardless of his class.

That is evident based on the number of schools chasing the 6-foot-1, 185-pound star.

The star signal caller announced Wednesday afternoon the top eight schools he’s rounding it out to when it comes to giving a commitment to down the line.

According to On3.com’e Hayes Fawcett, Lewis has narrowed his school choices down to Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State, LSU, Oregon, Texas A&M and USC.

Last season for the Trojans, Lewis led the team to the GHSA Class 7A state championship, in which Carrollton fell 70-35 to Mill Creek. It was an impressive season nonetheless for Lewis, who made a name for himself right out of the gates.

In 2022, Lewis completed 283-of-432 passes for 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns as a freshman. The Trojans are expected to compete once again for the Class 7A title as they return Lewis and a slew of offensive starters, including 4-star rated tight end Caleb Odom.
