Top Offensive Player in Georgia Football So Far in 2023: Vote

We have 16 candidates for you to choose from

The midway point of the high school football season in Georgia brings up the question of who’s been the best player so far? We go ahead and start on the offensive side and ask you the fan who has been the most impressive so far.

We have 16 athletes nominated for the Top Offensive Player of the Year so far in the Peach State, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the player. Voting will conclude on Oct. 10 at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, October 11th.

Editor’s Note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. However, we do not allow votes that are generated by script, macro or other automated means. Athletes that receive votes generated by script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified.

Here’s the nominations.

Aaron Philio, QB, Prince Avenue Christian: Arguably playing the best football of any signal caller right now in Georgia, Philo has led the undefeated Wolverines by completing 109-of-160 passes for 1,520 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Julian Lewis, QB, Carrollton: The USC commitment is an obvious bet on this list to make it at the midway point. Lewis has thrown for 990 yards, 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions for the Trojans.

TJ Thomas, ATH, Brookwood: Thomas is literally everywhere on the field for Brookwood this season. The athlete rushed for 417 yards and scored eight touchdowns on the ground in four games. Through the air, Thomas has caught 24 passes for 530 yards and seven scores.

Nick Bliss, ATH, Richmond Hill: Whether Bliss lines up out wide at receiver, in the backfield at running back or at Wildcat quarterback, he's a threat on offense. Bliss has rushed 35 times for 192 yards and eight touchdowns and at receiver caught 20 passes for 293, four scores. 12 total touchdowns so far for the Wildcats.

Antwann Hill Jr., QB, Houston County: The Houston County quarterback has been a perfectionist this season and his numbers prove it. Hill has completed 68-of-89 (76 percent) for 989 yards and 15 touchdowns, zero interceptions.

Jordan Triplett, RB, Frederica AcademyTriplett, an Air Force commitment, currently leads the state of Georgia in rushing yards at 1,023 yards through four games. He doesn’t just lead the state, however, as he also one of the top rushers in the country in the rushing yards department.

Ny Carr, WR, Colquitt County: The Georgia commitment has been the main target for quarterback Neko Fann and for good reason. Carr has hauled in 30 passes for 489 yards and nine touchdowns for the undefeated Packers.

KJ Smith, QB, Roswell: Smith is off to a sizzling first half of the season for Roswell as he's completed 47-of-69 passes for 872 yards and 15 touchdowns to just two interceptions.

Jeff Davis, QB, Grayson: Davis is another quarterback on this list that has yet to throw an interception this season. The quarterback has completed 75-of-101 passes for 947 yards and 13 touchdowns.

CJ Britt, QB, Lanier Christian Academy: Some eye popping numbers coming from Britt through four games so far. Britt has thrown for 1,310 yards, 18 touchdowns to just one pick. Also rushed for 167 yards and four scores.

Quinton Slaughter, RB, Providence Christian Academy: The running back has been one of the top rushers in the Peach State all season long and continues to impress. Slaughter has rushed for 751 yards and scored 13 touchdowns for the Storm.

Skyler Williams, ATH, North Murray: Williams is the all-everything for the Mountaineers' offense as the quarterback has thrown for 1,249 yards, 10 touchdowns through the air and rushed for 488 on the ground.

Jayden Scott, RB, Stockbridge: The North Carolina State commitment has been stellar for Tigers this season. Scott has carried the rock 75 times for 619 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. Also has 109 yards receiving through the air.

Sammy Brown, RB, Jefferson: Brown is a Clemson commit and projects to play linebacker at the next level. The two-way star has rushed for 451 yards on 59 carries and scored 12 touchdowns for the undefeated Dragons.

John Robert Walker, QB, Tiftarea Academy: Now we know Tiftarea has struggled, but Walker deserves a mention because of his on-field performance. The quarterback has thrown for 984 yards, 10 touchdowns and rushed for 487, adding seven scores.
