GHSA announces 2024-26 regions and classifications for Georgia high school sports

Georgia to officially move from seven classifications to six

THOMASTON, GEORGIA – The Georgia High School Association (GHSA), after announcing its initial reclassification assignments for the 2024 thru 2026 school years on Nov. 9, met again Thursday to hear appeals from 24 schools seeking to change their region, classification or both.

Following the completing of that process, the official 2024-26 region and classification assignments were announced, as the GHSA transitions from the seven classifications it currently utilizes to six.

Here are the new classification and region assignments for 2024-26:
