MILTON, GEORGIA – You won't find too many high school quarterbacks in the country more college-ready than Milton's Luke Nickel.

In his two years as the Eagles starting quarterback, Nickel has thrown for 6,421 yards and 63 touchdowns, and has rushed for another nine.

During that span, Nickel is 23-6 as a starter and helped bring the Eagles a state championship last fall in what was arguably the toughest classification in the nation, Georgia's Class 7A.

Nickel has long been committed to the Miami Hurricanes, and will now embark on his final season of high school football quarterbacking for the Eagles.

After defeating Walton in last year's state championship game, Nickel and his Eagles picked right back up where they left off this spring and trounced a up-and-coming Peachtree Ridge team.

Nickel tossed a pair of touchdown passes to 4-star receiver CJ Wiley, one of the most coveted Class of 2025 wide receivers in the country.

It was also his first taste of throwing passes in live action to 4-star tight end and Georgia commit Ethan Barbour, who transferred to Milton from Alpharetta this spring.

After wrapping up their spring season, Nickel caught up with us to talk about everything Milton football. Watch above to see what he had to say.
