CALDWELL - Rocky Mountain scored 12 runs in the fifth inning to rally for a 12-8 victory over defending champion Timberline in the Idaho 5A high school baseball state semifinals on Friday.
It's the first state championship game appearance for Rocky Mountain since 2017.
Trailing 5-0 entering the fifth, Rocky Mountain batted around and forced Timberline to use three different pitchers.
Rocky Mountain will play Owyhee for the 5A state championship on Saturday at 5 p.m.
