Photos: Rocky Mountain doesn't mind extra work in ending Thunder Ridge's title hopes

Grizzlies survive last-second shot in regulation to upend No. 2 seed Titans, 55-52, in overtimes in Class 5A quarterfinal nailbiter

BOISE, Idaho - If the Class 5A girls basketball championships follow suit of the opening game - this could be a dandy three days inside the Ford Idaho Center.

Two weeks ago, second-seeded Thunder Ridge was undefeated. Now, the Titans are out of championship contention as No. 7 seed Rocky Mountain edged them in overtime, 55-52.

Aspen Caldwell tied the game at 48-48 with her jump shot with seven seconds to go in regulation for Thunder Ridge.

But the Grizzlies had their own big answer - an Averee Osterhout 3-pointers with 25 seconds to go in overtime - to grab a victory.

Here is Loren Orr's photo gallery from the Rocky Mountain-Thunder Ridge game.
