Look: Gatlin Bair, Idaho football and track prodigy, runs blistering 100-meter personal best
Gatlin Bair made a promise after a ripping off a blazing 10.15 in a 100-meter preliminary heat at an Idaho high school district meet.
"Coming back faster tomorrow!" the Burley (Idaho) 2024 four-star said after his personal best, which was filmed by his football teammate.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound blue chip receiver prospect ran a 10.31 the next day in the Idaho high school District IV track finals on Thursday, marking a new personal best for one of the nation's top two-sport prospects.
Bair, whose 200-meter time (20.47) is the second fastest high school marks nationally and 100 time is top-six, has been on a tear throughout his junior track season.
He's a consensus four-star prospect who released the following top 5 on April 16 — Nebraska, Michigan, TCU, Boise State and Oregon — and fielded an offer from Nick Saban and Alabama on May 7.
The two-time first team all-state receiver helped Burley end a 13-year playoff football drought and the program's second winning season last fall.
