Congratulations to Jerome's Keenan Blair for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athletes of the Week for May 8-May 13!

For the second time this month, Blair is the recipient of this honor. The two-sport College of Idaho signee crashed the Class 4A District 4 track and field meet at Tiger Field, recording a state-best mark of 58 feet, 6 inches in the shot put - and taking over the No. 2 mark in the discus (176-8). Both were career-best marks.

Blair collected 46.5% of the overall vote and finished ahead of West Jefferson softball player Jordyn Torgerson, who had 45.7% of the vote.

We are currently accepting WaFd Bank Player of the Week nominations. If you would like to nominate an athlete, please email athleteoftheweek@scorebooklive.com or message us on Twitter or Instagram at @sbliveid.

IDAHO NOMINEES

Isaiah Anzaldua, Middleton baseball: 5A SIC first-timers won District 3 title with a 6-5 win over top seed Owyhee. Anzaldua was the hero, ripping a two-out, bases-loaded RBI single up the middle in the seventh inning to win it.

Gatlin Bair, Burley boys track and field: No wind - just home-stretch greatness from the two-sport wunderkind. He lowered his 100-meter dash time to 10.15 seconds at the 4A District 4 Championships. It is tied for the fourth-fastest mark in the nation.

Brylin Field, Kuna softball: The Kavemen had no issues putting softball over fences en route to their first district title since 2016. Field led the parade with four home runs in the final two games, including go-ahead blast in finals' win over Capital.

Augustas Haynes, Ridgevue boys track and field: Set a career-best by nearly one second in the 300-meter hurdles at the 4A District 3 Championships. He won the event finals in 38.68 seconds, overtaking Sandpoint's Rusty Lee for state lead.

Carson Kolb, Lewiston baseball: Underdog Bengals completed memorable district-round week by beating Rocky Mountain in state play-in game. Kolb threw a complete-game four-hitter, striking out six hitters. He also had two doubles at the plate - one driving in a run.

Malynn Munk, Rigby softball: Infielder blasted season-high two home runs and drove in five runs in team's 9-4 win over Thunder Ridge to win the 5A District 5/6 title.

Claire Petersen, Skyline girls track and field: Enjoyed a career day at the 5A/4A District 5/6 Championships, winning the 100-meter dash in state-best 11.83 seconds (edging Rigby's Abby Hancock at 11.86) and 100 hurdles (state-best 14.21).

Capri Sims, Post Falls girls track and field: For a third consecutive meet, this multi-sport standout (and last week's athlete of week winner) set a personal-best in the shot put. This time, she went 45 feet, 61/2 inches at the 5A/4A District 1/2 meet.

Jordyn Torgerson, West Jefferson softball: Ripped a pair of three-run home runs, and pitched five innings of one-run ball as the Panthers won their sixth consecutive district title with a 13-1 mercy-rule victory over North Fremont.
