Look: Highland captures first Idaho 5A title since 2017 with win over Coeur d'Alene

Back-and-forth 35-28 championship game decided on Drew Hymas' touchdown run, late defensive turnover

POCATELLO, Idaho - Highland High School continued to add to its rich Idaho high school football history Saturday afternoon.

The Rams picked up their state-record 12th state title with a 35-28 victory over Coeur d'Alene at Holt Arena.

Drew Hymas broke a 28-28 tie with a 47-yard touchdown run with 4:28 to go, and Zerek Younis picked off a pass for the Rams in the final minute to wrap up a wild triumph.
