Congratulations to Pocatello's Drey Contreras for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athletes of the Week for Feb. 26-March 2!
With Boise State signee Julian Bowie (hip) out for a key stretch in the Class 4A championship game, it was Contreras who picked up the scoring slack. The senior scored a team-high 22 points - 20 coming in the first three quarters - as Pocatello won its first state title since 2000 by shocking defending state champion Hillcrest, 73-67.
Contreras collected 58.9% of the overall vote.
