Blue Island Eisenhower's AJ Abrams voted SBLive’s Illinois High School Athlete of the Week (11/13/2023)

Abrams had nine catches for 285 yards and four TDs in playoff game

Congratulations to Blue Island Eisenhower football player AJ Abrams, who was voted SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 30-Nov. 5.

He received 12,964 votes, more than 46 percent of the total votes cast, to edge out the second-place finisher.

Abrams, a senior, had nine catches for 285 yards and four TDs in a 49-35 Class 6A second-round loss to Kankakee.

Marian Catholic football player Kaleb Stanford finished second in the voting after receiving more than 45 percent of the votes.
