Chase Abraham, Thornton boys basketball
The senior scored a game-high 20 points, shooting 6-for-12 from the floor and 6-for-6 from the line, as the Wildcats beat Kenwood 52-45 at the Chicago Elite Classic.
Tommy Banas, Providence boys wrestling
The freshman improved to 12-0 by winning the 126-pound title at Joliet Central's McLaughlin Classic. It was his second straight tourney championship after he won at Barrington the week before.
Immanuel Brown, Warren boys basketball
The senior had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds in a 77-64 win over Bolingbrook at the Chicago Elite Classic.
Max Bryant, Hall boys basketball
The senior guard scored a career-high 26 points in a 52-43 win against St. Bede at Hall's Colmone Classic.
Brooke Carlson, Batavia girls basketball
The Colorado State recruit had a game-high 24 points, five rebounds, two steals and a block in a 53-52 win against Montini in the Chicagoland Invitational Showcase at Fremd.
Caden Casimino, Crystal Lake South boys wrestling
The senior improved to 5-0 and won the 175-pound title at the Rockford East Giardini Invitational with a third-period pin in the final.
PJ Chambers, DePaul Prep boys basketball
The senior guard hit 9-for-10 from the line, scored a game-high 22 points and had three assists as the Rams came from 19 down in the first quarter to beat neighborhood rival Lane 60-49 at the Chicago Elite Classic.
Amerie Flowers, Hinsdale South girls basketball
The senior had a double-double of 24 points and 19 rebounds in a 52-32 victory against Morton.
Anna Herrmann, Hinckley-Big Rock girls basketball
The sophomore scored 30 points in a 42-37 win against Dakota.
Alexis Herrera, Harvard girls wrestling
The sophomore had three falls en route to taking first at 110 pounds at the Waukegan Tournament.
Destiny Jackson, Whitney Young girls basketball
The junior had a game-high 19 points, seven rebounds, two steals and an assist in a 46-45 overtime victory against Lyons in the Chicago Elite Classic.
Trinity Jones, Bolingbrook girls basketball
Jones, ranked No. 7 nationally among sophomores by HoopGurlz, had 17 points, nine rebounds, three steals, two blocks and an assist in a 65-59 victory against Kenwood at the Chicago Elite Classic.
Ben Jurzak, Jacobs boys basketball
The junior hit 6-for-8 from 3-point range en route to a 22-point effort in a 69-49 win over Butler.
Ty Macariola, Fenwick boys basketball
The junior guard shot 60% from the floor (6-for-10) and made all 13 of his free throws en route to scoring game-high 26 points in a 56-47 rivalry win against Oak Park-River Forest at the Chicago Elite Classic.
Paige Matiasek, Lockport girls bowling
The Tulane recruit won the individual title and led the Porters to the team championship at the Palatine Invitational.
Justus McNair, Joliet West boys basketball
The Valparaiso commit scored a game-high 25 points in a 64-57 rivalry win against Joliet Central.
Jaeda Murphy, Homewood-Flossmoor girls basketball
The senior scored a game-high 28 points and had two steals in a 54-43 win against Butler at the Chicago Elite Classic.
Chris Peura, Seneca boys wrestling
The senior won the 215-pound title at the Seneca Fighting Irish Invitational with four falls. It was his third straight championship in the tourney and marked the second time he was named Outstanding Wrestler for the upper weights (150-285).
BJ Powell, Lincoln-Way East boys basketball
The sophomore scored 28 points and had six assists as the Griffins stayed perfect at 5-0 with a 66-65 overtime win against Oswego East.
Ross Robertson, South Beloit boys basketball
The junior had a double-double of 41 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Hiawatha.
