Morrison's Camryn Veltrop voted SBLive’s Illinois High School Athlete of the Week (12/18/2023)

Veltrop received more than 57 percent of the total votes

Congratulations to Morrison girls basketball player Camryn Veltrop, who was voted SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week for December 4-10.

She received more than 57 percent of the total votes for the week.

Veltrop, a junior, scored 21 points, passing the 1,000-point mark for her career, in a 52-44 win against Ashton-Franklin Center at the Pearl City Holiday Tournament. She also had 19 points in a 38-33 victory over Lena-Winslow.

Prairie Ridge wrestler Jake Lowitzki finished second in the voting after receiving more than 39 percent of the votes.
