Here are the candidates for SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Arianna Araujo, Stagg girls bowling

The senior averaged 244.7 over six games for a state-best 1,468 total en route to winning the individual title at the Oak Lawn Regional.

Brooke Carlson, Batavia girls basketball

The Colorado State recruit scored 21 points in a 68-56 win over St. Charles East, breaking Hannah Frazier's program record of 2,046 career points. Carlson's total after that game was 2,051 points.

Tyreek Coleman, Waubonsie Valley boys basketball

The junior scored a game-high 31 points in a 71-56 loss to Bolingbrook.

Sarah Doughty, Sterling girls bowling

The freshman won the Sterling Regional title with a six-game pinfall of 1,369 (228.2 average).

Paige Engels, Loyola girls basketball

The junior scored 23 points as the Ramblers moved to 31-0 with a 76-57 win over Montini.

Meegan Fahy, Maine South girls basketball

The senior had 27 points, four rebounds, three assists and five steals in a 64-53 win against Prospect, contributed 19 points, two rebounds and five steals in a 52-43 victory over Glenbrook North and had 19 points and four rebounds in a 58-53 win vs. Libertyville.

Kloe Froebe, Lincoln girls basketball

The Colorado State recruit became the 10th girls basketball player in Illinois history to reach 3,000 points when she scored 33 in a 62-55 win over O'Fallon. After that game, she had 3,020 points.

Jake Furtney, St. Charles North boys basketball

The senior had 28 points, 11 rebounds and four steals in a 65-42 win against crosstown rival St. Charles East.

Mia Gaines, Hyde Park girls basketball

The Southern Illinois recruit had 11 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in a win over Von Steuben.

Dillan Johnson, Joliet Catholic boys wrestling

The senior pinned previously unbeaten Wyatt Schmitt of Joliet West in 1:44 to win the 285-pound title at the Class 3A Joliet Central Regional and improve to 32-1.

Morez Johnson, Thornton boys basketball

The Illinois recruit was one point shy of posting three triple-doubles. He had 15 points and 13 rebounds in a 59-54 win against Kankakee, 20 points and 12 rebounds (plus five steals and four blocks) in a 71-38 victory over Thornridge, and nine points and 12 rebounds (with four blocks) in a 53-50 win against Cardinal Ritter.

Alli Linke, Prospect girls basketball

The sophomore had 20 points, 15 rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 64-53 loss to Maine South.

Elijah Lovemore, Bloom boys basketball

The junior had a triple-double (21 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) in a 66-57 loss to Kankakee.

Damontae May, Kankakee boys basketball

The senior scored 19 points in a 59-54 loss to Thornton and had 18 points and eight assists in a 66-57 victory against Bloom.

Jaylan McElroy, DePaul Prep boys basketball

The senior had 17 points and eight rebounds in a 57-40 win over St. Ignatius and contributed 12 points and seven rebounds in a 60-32 victory against Providence.

Calvin Robins Jr., Kenwood boys basketball

The senior had double-doubles in wins against Wisconsin power Carmen Northwest (20 points, 15 rebounds) and Bogan (14 points, 15 rebounds).

Jaden Smith, Kenwood boys basketball

The Arizona State recruit had double-doubles in victories vs. Wisconsin's Carmen Northwest (16 points, 13 rebounds) and Longwood (10 rebounds, 10 blocks).

Icesis Thomas, Kenwood girls basketball

The junior had 22 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in a 68-17 victory over Northside.

KeShaun Thomas, Quincy boys basketball

The junior forward had 28 points and 20 rebounds in a 65-51 win against East St. Louis.

Davion Thompson, Bolingbrook boys basketball

The freshman scored 26 points as the Raiders handed Waubonsie Valley its first loss of the season, 71-56.
