Homewood-Flossmoor's Carson Brownfield voted SBLive’s Illinois High School Athlete of the Week (2/19/2024)

Carson Brownfield posted a double-double in win over Hillcrest

Congratulations to Homewood-Flossmoor boys basketball player Carson Brownfield, who was voted SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week for February 5-11.

He received more than 53 percent of the total votes for the week.

Brownfield, a senior, recorded a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds with five assists in a 71-52 win over Hillcrest.

Kaneland girls basketball player Kendra Brown finished second in the voting after receiving more than 27 percent of the votes.
