The senior reached the 1,000-point career milestone in a 44-40 Class 4A sectional semifinal win over Lyons.

Jurrell Baldwin, Hyde Park boys basketball

The senior reached 1,000 career points in a 57-53 Class 3A regional final win against St. Francis.

Brooke Carlson, Batavia girls basketball

The Colorado State recruit scored 34 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Bulldogs won their first sectional title, beating rival Batavia 58-46.

Taevion Collier, Curie boys basketball

The senior had a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds in a 55-46 Class 4A regional final win against Lyons.

Cadence Diduch, Freeport girls wrestling

The senior completed a 29-0 season by defeating Cumberland's Natalie Beaumont 10-1 for the IHSA 135-pound state title.

Gabby Gomez, Glenbard North girls wrestling

The junior won her third IHSA state title and moved to 83-0 for her career with a 4-3 win against defending state champ Harlee Hiller of Loyola in the 115-pound final.

Will Gonzalez, Curie boys basketball

The senior scored 24 points as the Condors beat Lyons 55-46 to win a Class 4A regional title.

Tim Handy, Perspectives-Leadership boys basketball

The senior passed 1,000 career points in a 61-48 Class 3A regional semifinal win against Ag. Science.

Bryce Heard, Homewood-Flossmoor boys basketball

The junior scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 64-56 win against Stagg in a Class 4A regional final.

Morez Johnson, Thornton boys basketball

The Illinois recruit posted a double-double (11 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks) in a 60-35 3A regional final win over Crete-Monee.

Elijah Lovemore, Bloom boys basketball

The junior posted his fifth triple-double of the season (10 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds, 5 steals) as the Blazing Trojans beat Thornwood 62-39 to win a Class 4A Regional. He also had 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in a 59-28 semifinal victory over Lincoln-Way Central.

Maryam Ndiaye, Moline girls wrestling

The senior moved to 31-0 by beating Peoria Richwoods' Jaida Johnson 14-5 in the IHSA 155-pound state final.

Ian Miletic, Rolling Meadows boys basketball

The junior passed 1,000 career points in a 53-37 Class 4A regional semifinal win against Hoffman Estates.

Alicia Perez, Glenbard West girls wrestling

The senior improved to 35-0 by edging West Aurora's Kameyah Young 1-0 in the IHSA 100-pound state final.

Sydney Perry, Batavia girls wrestling

The senior won a matchup of unbeatens in the IHSA 145-pound state final, moving to 41-0 with a 24-9 technical fall over Goreville's Alivia Ming.

JT Pettigrew, Bolingbrook boys basketball

The junior had 14 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks in a 54-48 win against West Aurora in a Class 4A regional title game.

Cam Thomas, Mount Carmel boys basketball

The junior scored 28 points as the Caravan beat Bogan 82-58 to win a Class 3A regional.

Marquis Vance, Marist boys basketball

The junior had a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds in a 66-51 win against Joliet Central in a Class 4A regional final.

Connor Williams, Stagg boys basketball

The senior reached the 1,000-point milestone for his career in a 64-56 regional final loss to Homewood-Flossmoor.

Lincoln Williams, Kankakee boys basketball

The sophomore had 10 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and four blocks as the Kays beat Pontiac 62-47 to win a Class 3A regional.
