Makai Kvamme had 18 points in 3A title game win

Congratulations to DePaul Prep boys basketball player Makai Kvamme, who was voted SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week for March 4-10.

He received more than 67 percent of the total votes for the week.

Kvamme, a junior, had 18 points in a 49-41 win over Mount Carmel in the IHSA Class 3A title game. He also scored 15 in a 52-41 victory against Peoria Richwoods in the semifinals.

Homewood-Flossmoor boys basketball player Gianni Cobb finished second in the voting after receiving more than 17 percent of the votes.
