Here are the candidates for SBLive's Indiana High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Jalen Alexander, Hamilton Southeastern football

The senior carried the ball 28 times for a game-high 177 yards and two touchdowns in a 43-22 win over Noblesville.

Jarrin Alley, Bloomington South football

In a 49-14 victory over Columbus North, the senior completed 19 of 23 passes for 330 yards and five touchdowns.

Liam Bauschke, Mishawaka boys cross country

The junior set a course record of 15:17 en route to winning the Northern Indiana Conference title.

Samantha Brown, Westfield girls golf

The senior won the state title, shooting 2-over 142 with four birdies, 30 pars and just two bogeys. She also won the Mental Attitude Award.

Davion Chandler, Lawrence North football

The junior caught four passes for 123 yards and a touchdown, and also added a 10-yard touchdown run in a 48-7 win against Warren Central.

Bodie Derrer, Hamilton Heights football

In a 43-0 shutout of Tipton, the senior completed 15 of 19 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns.

Mary Eubank, Penn girls cross country

The senior won the Northern Indiana Conference title in 18:44.

Dallas Freeman, Greenfield-Central football

The junior was 12-of-17 passing for 167 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 75 rushing yards and another touchdown on 16 carries in a 35-30 victory against Yorktown.

Tyrus Graverson, Bremen football

The state's leader in receiving yards caught five passes for 107 yards and a touchdown in a 34-0 shutout of Prairie Heights.

Thomas Gotkowski, Ben Davis football

The Miami (Ohio) commit completed 20 of 31 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns, and added 67 yards on the ground in a 45-16 win against Carmel.

Dontell Harris Jr., Hammond Morton football

In a 56-3 win over crosstown rival Hammond Central, the senior ran for 201 yards and five touchdowns.

Malcolm House, Guerin Catholic football

The junior caught seven passes for 104 yards and two third-quarter touchdowns during a 29-24 win against Northview.

Tori Jackson, Whiteland girls cross country

The senior won the Johnson County title at 18:50.3.

Gavin Neal, New Palestine football

The sophomore completed 9 of 10 passes for 221 yards and a touchdown, and added 24 yards and two scores on the ground in a 49-7 win against Shelbyville.

Hunter Newell, Plainfield football

In a 38-3 victory over Franklin, the senior completed 14 of 18 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns.

Danny O’Neil, Cathedral football

The Colorado commit threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for 166 yards and two scores during a 39-26 victory over Cincinnati LaSalle.

Bret Perry, Seymour football

The state’s leading passer threw for 360 yards and five touchdowns in a 56-32 win over Jennings County.

Bo Polston, Decatur Central football

The sophomore led the Hawks back from a 28-7 deficit to win 63-42 against Greenwood, passing for four touchdowns running for another score.

Josh Ringer, East Central football

In a 64-0 shutout of Connersville, the three-star senior prospect rushed for 238 yards and five touchdowns on 19 carries.

Daylen Schrock, Maconaquah boys cross country

The junior won the Three Rivers Conference Meet in a personal-best 16:24.

Garrett Sherrell, Brownsburg football

The senior ran nine times for 340 yards and four touchdowns in a 59-21 win against Zionsville.

Nikki Southerland, Delta girls cross country

The senior was the top Indiana finisher in the Nike XC Town Twilight Invitational Race of Champions, running 17:06.30.

Isaac Stahly, Goshen boys tennis

The senior won a pair of sectional singles matches, boosting his career victory total to 75.

Cameron Todd, Brebeuf boys cross country

The Notre Dame commit won the Nike XC Town Twilight Race of Champions with a time of 14:48.10.

Tatum Wade, Union Mills South Central girls volleyball

The senior had 101 kills in three matches as the Satellites won the Porter County Conference Tournament.

Elijah Wagner, Evansville Bosse football

The senior accounted for 390 total yards (212 passing, 178 rushing) and three TDs in a 36-20 win against Evansville Mater Dei.

Malachi Walden, Tri-West football

The junior passed for 142 yards and two scores, and ran for 174 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-0 shutout of North Montgomery.

Zyeiar White, Terre Haute South football

In a 32-25 victory over Indianapolis Brebeuf, the junior rushed 32 times for 191 yards and three touchdowns – including the game-winning score in the fourth quarter.

Donovan Williams, New Haven football

The senior was 7-of-11 passing for 142 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 44 yards and a score in a 32-14 victory against Bellmont.

Matthew Yoder, Center Grove football

In a 43-17 victory over Pike, the senior carried the ball eight times for 81 yards and three touchdowns. 


Indianapolis Lutheran's Jonny Hall voted SBLive's Indiana High School Athlete of the Week (Sept. 18-24)

Congratulations to Indianapolis Lutheran football player Jonny Hall, who was voted the SBLive Indiana high school Athlete of the Week for Sept. 18-24. He received more than 64 percent of the votes.

Hall, a senior, scored three times in a 42-14 win over Scecina. He rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns and also caught a 2-yard touchdown pass.

Hamilton Heights football player Bodie Derrer finished second in the voting after receiving more than 32 percent of the votes.
