Hamilton Southeastern girls volleyball wins Indiana 4A state championship, caps 33-0 season: Look
The Hamilton Southeastern girls volleyball team did it again.
The Royals capped off an undefeated season with a 3-1 victory over Castle on Saturday to win their second straight Indiana Class 4A championship and extend their win streak to 67 matches.
The Royals won 25-18, 26-24, 25-20, 25-15 at Ball State University's Worthen Arena in Muncie.
Macy Hinshaw recorded 38 assists, while Lauren Harden added 20. Lindsey Mangelson led the offensive attack with a team-high 17 kills and 19.5 points, followed by Tiffany Snook with 14 kills and Harden and Breonna Gross with 13 kills apiece. Sophie Ledbetter had a team-high 17 digs, followed by Hinshaw with 16.
Hamilton Southeastern (33-0) is the No. 1 team in the SBLive Top 25 national high school girls volleyball rankings.
Katie Kopshever led Castle (34-4) with 16 kills. Megan Harpenau had a team-high 17 assists, followed by Maya Joska with 15. Kierstin Niehaus led the Knights with 18 digs, while Joska added 16.
