Jalen Alexander, RB, Hamilton Southeastern

Alexander did the heavy lifting for the Royals offense in their 38-21 win over Fishers. The senior rushed 24 times for 137 yards and three touchdowns.

Jalen Bonds, RB, Cathedral

Bonds was the workhorse in Cathedral’s 20-3 Sectional victory over Lawrence North. The junior carried the ball 32 times for 261 yards and two touchdowns to lead the way for the Fighting Irish.

Tyler Cherry, QB, Center Grove

The Duke commit was near flawless in Center Grove’s 35-12 victory over Columbus North. Cherry completed an impressive 16 of 17 passes for 178 yards and two TD along with another touchdown on a quarterback sneak.

Hogan Denny, QB, Mooresville

Denny led the way for Mooresville in its thrilling 40-39 victory over Brebeuf Jesuit. The senior showcased his dual-threat ability as he rushed for 238 yards and two touchdowns along with 249 yards and two touchdowns through the air.

Kendall Garnett, RB, Westfield

Garnett had an impressive showing on the ground in Westfield’s 24-12 victory over Noblesville. The junior rushed 23 times for 141 yards and two touchdowns.

DJ Gordon, QB, Park Tudor

The Harvard pledge showed off his dual-threat ability once again in Park Tudor’s 41-28 come-from-behind win over North Vermillion. Gordon threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns along with 124 yards and three TDs on the ground.

Thomas Gotkowski, QB, Ben Davis

Gotkowski led a dominant Ben Davis effort in a 53-0 victory over Pike. The senior completed 7 of 9 passes for 138 yards and two TDs and added a rushing score – all in the first half – to help the Giants advance.

Braydon Hall, RB, Indianapolis Lutheran

Hall stole the show in Indianapolis Lutheran’s dominant 57-14 victory over Covenant Christian. The senior scored five rushing touchdowns to lead the Saints' offensive outburst.

Eli Kolb, RB, Sheridan

A senior, Kolb played a major role in Sheridan’s 27-22 victory over Monroe Central. Kolb carried the ball 22 times for 141 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Blackhawks' offense.

Mark Kube, RB, Eastern Hancock

Kube was a workhorse for Eastern Hancock during its dominant 47-14 win over Winchester. The sophomore carried the ball 21 times for 217 yards and two touchdowns.

Kyler Kropp, RB, New Palestine

Kropp showed off his versatility in the Dragons' 42-6 win over Mt. Vernon. The senior rushed seven times for 76 yards and a touchdown paired with three catches for 73 yards and two more TDs.

Gage Pohlman, RB, Batesville

A junior, Pohlman was a key contributor out of the backfield during Batesville’s 29-13 victory over Indian Creek. Pohlman rushed for three touchdowns to help the Bulldogs improve to 11-1 on the season.

Bo Polston, QB, Decatur Central

Polston was impactful both in the run game and with his arm during Decatur Central’s 34-17 win over Harrison. The sophomore accounted for four touchdowns (two passing and two rushing) to lead the Hawks.

Top 25 Indiana high school football rankings (11/2/2023)

Donovan Rhodes, DB, Hamilton Southeastern

Rhodes made big plays in crucial situations to help the Royals to a 38-21 victory over Fishers. The senior had two fourth-quarter interceptions to push the momentum in Hamilton Southeastern’s favor.

Josh Ringer, RB, East Central

A senior committed to Miami (Ohio), Ringer could not be stopped during East Central’s 47-0 win over Greenwood as he rushed for 135 yards and two TDs and caught a 19-yard touchdown pass.

Daniel Shaw, RB, Bishop Chatard

Shaw had a solid showing out of the backfield during Bishop Chatard’s 28-8 victory over Hamilton Heights. The junior scored on runs of 4 and 58 yards and he added a 44-yard reception to help lead the Trojans.

Slate Valentine, RB, Whiteland

Valentine carried another heavy workload for Whiteland during its 34-10 victory over Terre Haute South. The junior rushed for an impressive 261 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns to put the game away.

Malachi Walden, QB, Tri-West

Walden once again made an impact in both the run game and the pass game in Tri-West’s 28-21 victory over Monrovia. The junior rushed for three touchdowns, threw for another, and he converted on a key 2-point conversion to end the first half.
