Joe Bean, Cedar Rapids Kennedy boys basketball
The Upper Iowa signee averaged 14.3 points and two steals a game in leading the Cougars to the Class 4A championship game. He was also named to the all-tournament team.
Mason Bechen, North Linn boys basketball
The 6-foot-1 junior was named captain of the all-tournament team after leading the Lynx to a state title averaging 27 points and 4.3 assists – both bests in Class 1A.
Landon Blum, Woodbine boys basketball
The 6-foot-5 freshman scored 23 points in Woodbine’s loss to the eventual 1A champions.
Cam Buffington, Winfield-Mount Union boys basketball
The 6-foot-4 senior averaged 16.5 points and eight rebounds in the state tournament and was named to the 1A all-tournament team.
Caden Cahill, Dallas Center-Grimes boys basketball
Cahill scored 20 points in the Mustangs’ quarterfinal loss to Cedar Rapids Kennedy.
Cyrus Courtney, Cedar Rapids Kennedy boys basketball
Courtney, who was named to the 4A all-tournament team, made some big shots for the Cougars and averaged 11.7 points at the state tournament.
Camden Davis, Hudson boys basketball
The 6-foot-5 senior was second in scoring with 17 points per game as he was named to the Class 3A all-tournament team.
Kiki Deng, West Des Moines Valley boys basketball
The junior was second in scoring in Class 4A with 15 points per game as the Tigers won back-to-back state titles. He was also named to the 4A all-tournament team.
Luke Frazell, Waverly-Shell Rock boys basketball
The 6-foot-6 junior averaged 17.3 points and was named to the all-tournament team in Class 3A.
Kayvion Hodges, Davenport Assumption boys basketball
Hodges averaged 16.7 points and led 3A in rebounding averaging 11.7 for the state champions and was named to all-tournament team in Class 3A.
Damyen Jackson, Davenport Assumption boys basketball
The junior guard was named captain of the 3A all-tournament team. He was second in 3A in scoring at 19.7.
Trevin Jirak, West Des Moines Valley boys basketball
The 6-foot-9 junior had a big state championship game with 19 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots.
Carson Johnson, Ankeny boys basketball
Johnson averaged 17.5 points, including a 26-point outburst vs. Dubuque Senior, in two games at the state tournament.
Alec Lovely, Treynor boys basketball
The sophomore had a nice state tournament averaging 19.5 points and was named to the all-tournament team in Class 2A.
Cole Marsh, Waverly-Shell Rock boys basketball
The 6-foot-6 senior averaged 16.7 points and was selected to the 3A all-tournament team.
Tanner Michael, Hudson boys basketball
The senior scored 15 points per game and was named to the all-tournament team in Class 2A.
Karsten Moret, Western Christian boys basketball
The junior led 3A in scoring at 18.7 per game and was named to the all-tournament team.
Ty Plfughaupt, North Linn boys basketball
The 6-foot-5 senior was third in 1A in scoring (13.0) and was named to the all-tournament team.
Spencer Roeder, Marquette Catholic boys basketball
The 6-foot-5 junior was named to the 1A all-tournament team after averaging 13.7 points and 11 rebounds at the state tournament.
Micah Schlaak, Cedar Rapids Kennedy boys basketball
Schlaak scored at a 14.3 clip in helping the Cougars made the 4A state title game.
Aiden Stensrud, Lake Mills boys basketball
The 6-foot-5 junior averaged 12.5 points and 13 rebounds and made the all-tournament team in Class 1A.
Curtis Stinson, West Des Moines Valley boys basketball
The junior was named captain of the 4A all-tournament team as he led the Tigers to another state title. He led 4A in multiple categories: 17.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
Jesse Van Kalsbeek, MOC-Floyd Valley boys basketball
The senior led all classes in scoring with 34 points per game at the state tournament where he was named to the 3A all-tournament team.
Kaden Van Regenmorter, Western Christian boys basketball
The junior was named captain of the 2A all-tournament team after averaging 16.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in the state tournament.
Caden Wilkins, Bettendorf boys basketball
The 6-foot-7 senior scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds per game and was named to the 4A all-tournament team.
Jacob Williams, Dubuque Senior boys basketball
The 6-foot-6 senior had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Rams’ loss to Ankeny in the Class 4A quarterfinals.
