Gaubert turns in MVP performance in Cardinals' Division II select championship win

In his final high school game, Brendan Gaubert took home plenty of hardware.

Gaubert, a senior at E.D. White, was named the Most Outstanding Player in the Cardinals' 6-2 win against Vandebilt Catholic for the Division II select title on May 13. He was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and he got the save, pitching three innings and allowing one run on three hits. 

For his efforts, Gaubert was voted the SBLive Louisiana Athlete of the Week covering May 8-14. He is also the final SBLive Louisiana Athlete of the Week to be voted for the 2022-23 school year.
