Here are the top high school volleyball players in Louisiana for the 2023 season
Volleyball season is in full swing across the state of Louisiana with all roads eventually leading to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association state tournament at the Cajundome in Lafayette.

Camryn Chatellier, Sr., Dominican
The powerful 5-foot-10 outside hitter sparked Dominican to its third straight Division I state title with 402 kills, 281 digs, 51 aces and 32 blocks. Finished with a team-high 21 kills in a three-set championship sweep vs. Mount Carmel, according to nola.com's Chris Dabe, who tabbed Chatellier the All-Metro Large School Outstanding Player.
Laurel Cassidy, Jr., Parkview Baptist
A rare sophomore on last year's all-state teams, the libero is a tremendous server who is being recruited for indoor and beach volleyball. Teamed with Izzy Ramos to win the prestigious Beach Volleyball National Event tournament this summer.
Virginia Voitier, Jr., Haynes Academy
Renowned for her ability to pound the ball as an outside hitter, Voitier led a young Haynes Academy team to the Division III semifinals last year. Her mom, Monique, played at the University of New Orleans. Her younger sister, Marilyn, is a sophomore star.
Kendall Davis, Sr., Dutchtown
Led her team to a 32-8 record, a No. 3 seed and a Division I quarterfinal berth. Garnered all-district, all-metro and all-state honors, and was named Most Valuable Player at the University of Florida team camp.
Amaya Evans, Sr., St. Amant
Evans moves to the outside after two years of establishing herself as a force in the middle for the Lady Gators. The 6-foot senior, a Seattle Pacific commit, helped her team to the Division I regional playoff round as a No. 10 seed.
Reagan Robinson, Jr., Slidell
Played NOLA club volleyball with its top 16s and top 15s teams. Should flourish under the leadership of new Slidell coach Danny Tullis, who has a history of winning state titles. Leads the 2-0 Lady Tigers with 19 kills and 19 digs.
Gabby Marcelllo, Sr., Dominican
Stepped right in at setter following the graduation of two-time Player of the Year Kate Becker and made all-state. Recorded 56 aces, 268 digs and 1,285 assists for Dominican (43-3). Had 44 assists in the championship win over Mount Carmel.
Sophia Bonnaffee, Sr., Archbishop Hannan
Bonnaffee, an outside hitter, has been a star since her freshman campaign when she helped the Lady Hawks to the first of two consecutive state titles. As a sophomore, she was named Most Outstanding Player in the Hawks' championship win against E.D. White.
Sarah Kirsch, Sr., Archbishop Hannan
Kirsch is a setting machine for coach Rebekka Bonnaffee, and has been creating chances for teammate Sophie Bonnaffee for years. Kirsch, who had 52 assists in a September defeat of Dunham last year, is known for her tremendous hands and great decision-making.
Nola Sevin, Sr., Mount Carmel
The all-state libero is a four-year starter for one of the state's powerhouse programs. Sevin leads the 2-0 Lady Cubs with 27 digs on the season. Mount Carmel finished as Division I runner-up to Dominican last season.
Kayla Benedic, Sr., Pope John Paul II
The outside hitter paced PJP to the Division IV finals with 471 kills, 505 digs and 56 aces. She is also a standout softball player.
Mariah Mott, Jr., Hahnville
The six-rotation player, who has perfected her jump serve, is comfortable on the back row and excellent on the outside for the Lady Tigers, who downed Morgan City in five sets to open the season.
Annika Roberson, Jr., Ben Franklin
A 6-foot-2 lefty who plays on the right side, Roberson racked up 273 kills, 110 blocks and 71 digs for Ben Franklin, which took Teurlings Catholic to five sets in the Division II semifinals last season.
Aubrey Muirhead, Sr., Ben Franklin
Muirhead makes up the other half of her team's twin towers. The 6-foot-1 middle blocker tallied 405 kills, 236 blocks, 88 digs and 35 aces last year.
Mary Alice Dohmann, Jr., Berwick
Dohmann has established a reputation as one of the best outside hitters in the state. She had a tremendous club season with the Thibodaux Rise 16s while surrounded by dynamic players.
Nevaeh Bax, Jr., McDonogh 35
Bax packs an unbelievable vertical leap that allows her to play high above the net despite average height. She is a member of NOLA's top 16 club team.
Brightyn Ratcliff, Sr., E.D. White
Ratcliff, who made all-state as a junior outside hitter, has helped her team to consecutive Division III runner-up finishes.
Emma Richey, Jr., Mount Carmel
Regarded as the state's top junior setter, Richey sets the table for Mount Carmel's new 5-1 rotation. She has accounted for 59 of her team's 60 assists through two matches. As a junior, Richey recorded 603 assists while sharing the court with senior setter Ellen Brown.
Kathryn Manuel, Sr., Sam Houston
Setter who paced Sam Houston to a 23-5 record and the Division I quarterfinals as a No. 5 seed.
Izzy Hebert, Sr., Teurlings Catholic
Versatile and heady setter for one of the state's perennial powers. Hebert has 22 assists and seven kills for the 2-0 Lady Rebels. Last year, she provided 568 assists, 102 kills, 51 aces and 187 digs for a Division II runner-up team.
Ally Alfonso, Sr., Fontainebleau
The outside hitter scored a match-high 20 kills in her team's come-from-behind win over cross-city rival Mandeville last October. Led Fontainebleau to the second round of the Division I playoffs.
Jana Thymes, So., Parkview Baptist
The buzz is that Thymes could be the most powerful player in the state by her senior year. Her mother (Debbie Paris-Thymes) and father (Derrick Thymes) ran track at LSU.
Jane Gambel, Jr., Metairie Park Country Day
Versatile pin hitter who has been a major figure in Country Day's run of state championships. Helped the Lady Cajuns to a 32-4 record, a seventh consecutive state title and the program's 17th overall crown.
Caroline Beahm, So., Isidore Newman
A relative newcomer to volleyball, the 6-foot-1 Beahm has been an accomplished softball player for years. She was a key component on Newman's Division IV state championship squad.
Harper Cauley, Jr., Ruston
Regarded as one of north Louisiana's top players, Cauley led Ruston to a 23-12 mark and a second round Division I playoff appearance. The 18th-seeded Lady Bearcats upset 15th-seeded Terrebonne in the first round.
Rhyan Miciotto, Jr., St. Thomas More
Accumulated a team-high 638 assists with 245 digs and 24 aces for a St. Thomas More team that went 41-1 and won the Division II state title.
Ellen Potier, Sr., Notre Dame-Crowley
Defensive specialist for the Division IV semifinalist Lady Pioneers.
Khara Mouton, Sr., Destrehan
A 6-foot outside hitter who is playing for a sleeper program in Division I.
Beverly Potier, Jr., St. Thomas More
Potier, who is out with an injury, posted 239 kills, 59 blocks and 48 digs for the Lady Cougars in 2022.
Cori Staes, Ben Franklin
The junior outside hitter is the Lady Falcons' team captain and a two-time first-team all-district selection. Last year, she totaled 379 kills, 124 blocks and 390 digs for the Division II semifinalists.
Kaylie McKinney, St. Joseph's Academy
6-foot middle blocker was nominated for The Advocate Player of the Week after racking up 37 kills, 10 blocks and five aces.
Neal Grace Berry, Vandebilt Catholic
6-foot-1 junior is a left-handed outside hitter and a star player for the Thibodaux Rise club team.
Nadia Donham, Lafayette Christian
The senior outside hitter is described as "a tenacious hitter with a powerful swing," by a statewide volleyball expert.
