Airline junior quarterback Ben Taylor voted SBLive Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for Aug. 28-Sept. 3

Taylor had a big night in Vikings' wild season-opening win

In a matchup between two high-powered offenses in the Sept. 1 season opener, it was Airline which prevailed. 

One reason was the play of Vikings' quarterback Ben Taylor.

Airline dominated the third quarter against North DeSoto en route to a high-scoring 53-42 win. A junior quarterback, Taylor was 31-of-43 passing for 293 yards and four TDs.

For his efforts, Taylor was voted as the SBLive Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for Aug. 28-Sept. 3.
