Wayne Randall-Bashay, New Iberia boys basketball

The 6-foot-5 Xavier-New Orleans commit scored his 1,800th career point and grabbed his 900th rebound for the 25-5 Yellow Jackets, who are No. 3 in the Division I non-select power ratings. Randall-Bashay helped New Iberia to a state runner-up finish last year.

Kaylee Bradley, Oakdale girls basketball

Bradley paced the Lady Warriors with 15 points in a 55-44 district win over Holy Savior Menard. Oakdale, the reigning Division IV non-select state champion, is 24-7 and No. 2 in the power ratings.

Noah Brookter, Southside boys basketball

The 6-foot-3 senior guard scored 20 points with five rebounds, three assists and a steal in a 49-47 win over Lafayette High. The Sharks are 18-12 overall, 5-1 in District 3-5A and No. 7 in the Division I non-select power ratings.

Autrail Manning Jr., John Curtis Christian boys basketball

Manning, a sophomore star on a young Patriots' team, scored 17 points in a 42-35 Catholic League win over Jesuit that nola.com's Will Peneguy described as "an upset special." John Curtis, which has only one senior, is 15-8 (5-5 in District 9-5A) and No. 15 in the Division I select power ratings.

Keith Jones, Edna Karr boys basketball

Jones, a senior guard, scored 13 points in the Cougars' 59-37 Catholic League win over Archbishop Rummel. Karr (21-10, 8-2, No. 8 in Div. I select) clinched a share of the district title, and coach Taurus Howard had his jersey retired as the school honored its 1994 state championship team. Jones signed with Grambling State for football and basketball.

Mason Lavergne, Dunham boys basketball

The senior point guard became the 13th player in program history to score 1,000 points as the Tigers defeated Episcopal and Northeast. Dunham (24-6) has won eight straight games and is No. 3 in the Division III select power ratings.

Melvin Lambert Jr., Eleanor McMain boys basketball

The senior guard canned eight 3-pointers while finishing with 37 points, two rebounds and two steals in a 76-51 district win over Kenner Discovery. McMain made recent back-to-back title game appearances and won the 2021 Class 4A crown.

Charlie Mader, Teurlings Catholic boys soccer

The junior scored four goals - two in each half - as the No. 2 Rebels defeated No. 15 Sam Houston, 9-1, in a Division II regional playoff game. Mader, the kicker for the football team, had scored a school-record 43 goals entering into Monday's quarterfinal loss to Riverdale. Teurlings Catholic finished the season with an 18-6-1 record.

A'Kirra Hagger, Church Point girls basketball

The senior point guard had 21 points in her team's 63-23 rout of Ville Platte. With the win, Church Point (24-6, 6-0 in District 4-3A) secured the first league title in program history. The No. 6 Lady Bears host No. 27 Livonia in the first round of the Division II non-select playoffs.

M'Kiyiah Olivier, Highland Baptist girls basketball

The senior was honored for scoring her 1,800th point following a 39-32 district win over Covenant Christian. Olivier had 19 points in the game. The Lady Bears are 15-10 overall and have a first round bye as the No. 7 seed in the Division IV select playoffs.

Alanna Benoit, Mandeville girls basketball

The sophomore topped the 1,000-point mark on a night where she scored 25 points with eight rebounds and seven steals in a 72-28 defeat of Hammond. The Lady Skippers are 26-5 and No. 3 in the Division I non-select power ratings.

Krystian Lewis, Wossman boys basketball

The senior guard led all scorers with 34 points in a 71-68 overtime win vs. district and city rival Carroll, according to Jake Martin of The Ouachita Citizen. Wossman is 29-3 and No. 2 in the Division II non-select power ratings.

Delian Mallery, St. Martinville boys basketball

The senior combo guard was on fire in his team's 56-49 victory over Crowley, pumping in a career-high 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting. The Tigers won their fourth straight game, concluded District 5-3A with a 7-1 record and have moved up seven spots to No. 19 in the Division II non-select power ratings.

Jordan Matthews, Vandebilt Catholic boys basketball

Matthews won the Bayou Region 3-point contest and led the Terriers to wins over Ellender and South Terrebonne. Vandebilt Catholic is 23-3 overall, 4-0 in District 7-4A and No. 4 in the Division II select power ratings.

Tre Jackson, Airline boys basketball

The football/basketball standout scored his 1,000th career point as the Vikings split games with Natchitoches Central and Southwood. Airline (17-13, 7-5 District 1-5A) is in place to host a first-round playoff game at No. 16 in the Division I non-select power ratings. Jackson led the Vikings to a 55-52 win over Natchitoches Central with 15 points.

Elijah Meylian/Jackson Durbin First Baptist Christian School boys basketball

Meylian and Durbin made both the ACEL all-state team, and Meylian was named Div. II MVP as the Lafayette-based Eagles finished the season with a 13-8 record.

Tanner Rizan, CHEF boys basketball

Rizan, a 6-foot-3 senior point guard, led the Baton Rouge-based Patriots to a 32-1 record while averaging 25.5 points, four steals and three assists per game. CHEF repeated as state champions and Rizan was repeat first-team all-state and MVP selection.

D'Jaiyah Levy, Abbeville girls basketball

The senior scored 15 points in her team's 56-48 win over Kaplan and topped the 1,500-point mark earlier in the week in a win over St. Martinville. No. 9 Abbeville (17-5, 8-0 District 5-3A) hosts No. 24 West Feliciana in a Division II non-select first round playoff game on Thursday.

La'Shantae Clay, Walker girls basketball

Clay had 13 points, seven steals, five assists and four rebounds as the Lady Cats dominated Denham Springs on the road, 71-38, in a battle of District 5-5A unbeatens. Walker (33-0) has a first-round playoff bye as the top seed in Division I non-select.

Ruben Vega, Ascension Episocpal boys soccer

Vega scored two goals in the third-seeded Blue Gators' 4-0 Division IV second-round playoff win over district rival Vermilion Catholic. Ascension Episcopal was 12-4-3 heading into its quarterfinal game vs. No. 6 Loyola Prep.

Christian Guillory, St. Louis Catholic boys basketball

Guillory scored 19 points with 11 rebounds and three assists in the Saints' 53-51 district win over Jennings. St. Louis is 15-9 and No. 14 in the Division II select power ratings.

Chris Coleman, H.L. Bourgeois boys basketball

Coleman had 18 points as the Braves improved their district record to 10-1 with a 62-43 win over Hahnville. H.L. Bourgeois (21-9) has won 10 of its last 12 games and is No. 8 in the Division I non-select power ratings.

Damarion McClendon, Doyline boys basketball

The junior scored his 1,037th career point as the Panthers defeated Quitman and Castor to win the District 1-B title. Doyline is 22-3 and No. 7 in the Division V non-select power ratings.

Maurice Rabb, Minden boys basketball

Rabb scored 18 points as the Crimson Tide defeated North DeSoto, 75-38. Minden is 13-7 and No. 13 in the Division II non-select power ratings.

Zy Hunter, Jena boys basketball

Hunter had 16 points and eight rebounds as the Giants took a district road win at Marksville. Jena is 11-10 and No. 17 in the Division III non-select power ratings.
