Down below is a statement from Schroeder via Facebook on his appointment as the next lead man at Sacopee Valley.

"Hey everyone,

I wanted to hop on here and introduce myself. My name is Eric Schroeder your Sacopee Valley Hawks new head football coach.

This will be my 10th season with Sacopee football. I was raised in Baldwin and started playing football at Sacopee during their inaugural season. After college, my wife Sara and I decided to move back home where we now live with our two dogs Koda and Wally.

I’m very excited for the potential this team has and even more excited to be staying in the valley for years to come. This community has helped me to grow into the man I am today, and I intend to pass those lessons on to the next generation through hard work, dedication and perseverance.

Let’s get to work!"

The 8-man team prior to last season had struggled to compile wins on the field. Before the Hawks' 6-4 turnaround season in 2023, Sacopee Valley had totaled nine wins since the 2017 campaign.
