TOP 25 MARYLAND FOOTBALL RANKINGS

1. OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL 17, DEPAUL CATHOLIC (NJ) 28

Maryland's top-ranked team went on the road and lost for the first time in 2024 as New Jersey's DePaul Catholic pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 28-17 victory.

2. ST. FRANCES ACADEMY 13, ORANGE LUTHERAN (CA) 15

Late night Friday on the West Coast, St. Frances suffered its first loss of 2024 with a 15-13 setback to Orange Lutheran (CA).

Archbishop Spalding picks up another big win, stomping on New York's Archbishop Stepinac, 45-0.

As the higher seed, Riverdale Baptist came in as the favorite but Bishop McNamara proved it is on a different level, 54-14.

9. GEORGETOWN PREP 14, NO. 11 LOYOLA BLAKEFIELD 17

Up 14-0 in the half, Georgetown Prep fell to No. 11 Loyola, 17-14. The Dons kicked the winning field goal on the game's final play.

10. CALVERT HALL COLLEGE (2-0) VS. LA SALLE COLLEGE (PA) (2-0): SAT., 12 PM

11. LOYOLA BLAKEFIELD 17, NO. 9 GEORGETOWN PREP 14

The Dons roared back from a 14-0 first half to close the game with 17 unanswered points, defeating No. 9 Georgetown Prep, 17-14, on a field goal as time expired.

The Jaguars were ready for their opener, scoring 10 TDs in a 70-0 win over Watkins Mill.

The Gaels could not keep pace with St. Mary's Ryken in their traditional early-season rivalry battle. The Saints prevail, 38-20.

The Seminals open in impressive fashion with a big win in Western Maryland.

If anyone was doubting Bishop McNamara, doubt no more. The Mustangs rolled over Riverdale Baptist, 54-14, in Upper Marlboro.

Baltimore City power Mervo got off to a fast start in 2024 with a 44-7 rompe at Bowie.

20. BROADNECK 28, ST. MARY'S 13

After falling behind by a touchdown early, Broadneck scored the next four touchdowns and defeated St. Mary's 28-13 as the Bruins open the season 1-0.

22. STEPHEN DECATUR 35, QUEEN ANNE'S 6

The Seahawks easily handled their fellow Eastern Shore squad, 35-6, to start their season on a high note.

The Millers had it all their way in this Top 25 clash. Reggie White's squad figures to climb in the rankings this week after a 41-13 road win at No. 14 Oakdale.
