Congratulations toScituate boys hockey left winger Ben Whitmanfor being voted SBLive’s Massachusetts High School Athlete of the Week for Dec. 13-19!

The senior had the game winner off a slap shot from the top of the circle, to seal the 2-1 victory over Hanover.

Whitman received 55.53% of the vote, beating out Bostin Latin's Emelia O’Gilvie who finished second with 25.52%. Winthrop's George Galuris finished third with 17.06% and Cape Cod Academy's Jaeden Greenleaf finished fourth with 0.56%.

Grace Nelson, Bishop Feehan Girls Hockey: Had 2 goals and 3 assists in a 6-3 win over Arlington Catholic.

Lauren Adams, Andover Girls Hockey: Had 2 goals in a 4-2 win over HPNA (Haverhill – Pentucket – North Andover).

Emelia O’Gilvie, Bostin Latin Girls Basketball: Had career-high 33 points in a 56-41 win over Newton South.

Chloe Jekanowski, Hopkins Academy Girls Basketball: Recorded 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocks in a 32-52 loss against Frontier Regional.

Rose McLean, Andover Girls Hockey: Had 2 goals in a 4-2 win over HPNA (Haverhill – Pentucket – North Andover).

Jaeden Greenleaf, Cape Cod Academy Boys Basketball: Greenleaf had 28 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds in a 70-55 win over against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional.

Joe Bucci, Andover Boys Hockey: Recorded 2 goals in a 6-1 win over Shrewsbury.

Ethan Dias, Somerset Berkley Regional Boys Basketball: Recorded a double-double (30 points, 20 rebounds) in a 55-61 loss against Durfee.

George Galuris, Winthrop Boys Basketball: Led Winthrop with 20 points in a 71-38 win over Salem Academy. 

Teagan Wilson, Newburyport Girls Hockey: Made 34 saves on 35 shots in a 0-1 loss against Winthrop.
