Congratulations to Sandwich baseball 3B/C Mitchell Norkevicius for being voted SBLive’s Massachusetts High School Athlete of the Week for April 18-24!

The junior had three hits - including a home run - in an 8-1 win over Scituate.

Norkevicius ran away with this week's honor, receiving 96.62% of the total vote.

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for April 18-24:

Aiden O’Donnell, Abington baseball: In five innings pitched, O’Donnell struck out 10 batters in an 11-1 win over Cardinal Spellman.

James Sullivan, Scituate boys lacrosse: Sullivan scored five goals and had two assists in a 14-6 Chowda Cup title win over Marshfield.

Andrew Toland, BC High boys lacrosse: The junior goalie recorded 12 saves to lift BC High past Acton-Boxboro, 9-6, for the first Players Cup title.

Gabe Knudsen, Hanover baseball: Knudsen tossed a complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts and only allowed one hit in a 5-0 win over Sandwich for the JL Murphy championship.

Sophia Cavicchi, Carver softball: In five innings pitched, Cavicchi struck out five batters and only allowed six hits in a 14-2 win.

Hailey Bourne, Oliver Ames girls lacrosse: Bourne scored four goals to lead Oliver Ames to a 13-5 win against Nipmuc.

Lily Newhall, St. Mary's softball: Newhall tossed a complete game in the circle with seven strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Audobon (NJ).

Kate O'Toole, Archbishop Williams girls lacrosse: O'Toole scored eight goals and had four assists in a 16-5 win over St. Mary's.

Kelly Blake, Medfield girls lacrosse: The sophomore scored five goals and had two assists in a 16-8 win over King Philip. Blake also reached the 100 career goal milestone in the game.
