Congratulations to Mashpee baseball 3B/1B Sean Fancher for being voted SBLive’s Massachusetts High School Athlete of the Week for May 9-15!
The junior went 6-for-8 at the plate with three RBIs and stole five bases against Monomoy and Middleboro. He also went 2 for 3, with the walk-off hit, and had two RBIs against Hull.
Fancher ran away with this week's honor, receiving 68.23% of the vote.

Lily Newhall, St. Mary's softball: Newhall tossed a complete-game, allowing only two hits, and struck out nine batters in a 10-0 win against AC.
Elle Murphy, Cardinal Spellman girls lacrosse: Murphy scored four goals to lead Cardinal Spellman to a 16-6 win over Fontbonne.
Jillian Ondrick, Archbishop Williams softball: The eighth-grader had four hits - including a two-run home run- to lead Archbishop Williams to a 13-3 win against Spellman.
Catie Wilson, Oliver Ames girls lacrosse: Wilson scored seven goals and had two assists in a 17-10 win against North Attleboro.
Kaylie Groom, Maria Wood, Jackie Earner, Shannon Groom, Abington girls 4x400 relay team: The senior 4x400 relay team smashed the all-time school record by almost 10 seconds with a time of 4:15.72.
Alex Marancik, Sandwich baseball: Marancik recorded the win on the mound and struck out eight in Sandwich's 10-5 win over Falmouth.
Will Robinson, Scituate boys lacrosse: The freshman scored three goals and added five assists in a 16-4 win over Pembroke.
Joe Manton, QNQ boys lacrosse: Manton scored five goals and had two assists in a dominant 19-1 win over Dennis-Yarmouth Regional.
Owen Hoffman, Hingham boys lacrosse: Hoffman scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to give Hingham an 8-7 win over rival Duxbury.
Jonathan Narsjo, O'Bryant boys volleyball: Narsjo recorded 15 kills to lead O'Bryant past BC High - securing their 11th straight win on the season.
