Deion Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes to host 2025 No. 1 QB Bryce Underwood

The Belleville (Michigan) quarterback moved his visit to Boulder up to this weekend

Colorado Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders are set to host Belleville (Michigan) quarterback and No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2025 Bryce Underwood this weekend, according to 247sports.com.

Underwood was set to visit for the Sept. 30 game against USC. Instead, he will attend this weekend for a game against Colorado State.

“Last-minute decision,” Underwood’s father Jaquan told 247sports.com.

“They’re definitely in the picture which is a great thing,” Jaquan said.

“We were able to talk to Prime. Everybody pitches they want Bryce to take the keys to their offense. They think he’s a guy to backup or be mentored by Shedeur. Just having that opportunity and Prime is a legend. When I was a kid I wanted to be like Prime. I played corner. Having that guy on the other end talking to my son, it was surreal.

“We really like Colorado.”

Bryce told 247sports.com: “It was very exciting to have my first conversation. [...] Just him letting me know he wanted me there and to lead them to a National Championship was exciting to hear.”

Underwood is also set to visit LSU for the October 14 game against Auburn. He also has interest from Alabama, Michigan and Oregon, among others.

Colorado recently hosted Corey Sadler Jr., the No. 1 athlete prospect in the class of 2026 from Cass Tech (Michigan) along with class of 2024 defensive line commit Brandon Davis-Swain from West Bloomfield (Michigan).
