Top 25 Michigan high school football rankings (10/2/2023)

Western Parma

Western Parma has looked terrific so far this season and this past week was no different. A win against Harper Creek improved Parma’s record to 6-0, and it looks like a well-oiled machine. Another strong week for this team.

Gaylord

Gaylord is another team that stayed undefeated this week with a strong performance. They looked flawless in a 50-6 drubbing of Alpena, and the squad is now 5-0.

Lowell

A hard-fought win against Byron Center earned this Lowell team some high praise. The Red Arrows have now won three games in a row and are 5-1 on the season. It’s looking like this will be a memorable year for this team.

Carlson

Carlson picked up a big win last week against 4-1 Trenton, and it was their fifth straight win. After dropping their first game of the year, the Marauders has rebounded strong and they are now 5-1.

Corunna

Another week, another big win for Corunna. This time, they defeated Goodrich 35-7, and they are 6-0 on the season. Corunna didn’t look like they had a weakness against Goodrich.

Freeland

Freeland didn’t look like they had a weakness this past week, either. They defeated Birch Run 52-8, and they are off to a 6-0 start this year. Freeland is very good.

Fenton

Fenton took on Linden this week, and it was a huge game for both teams. Each squad came into the matchup 4-1, but Fenton survived to improve to 5-1. It was a thriller, and Fenton ended up getting the win, 40-32.

Frankenmuth

Frankenmuth put on a show last week in a 54-7 win against Garber. That’s five in a row for Frankenmuth as it is now 5-1.

Whiteford

Whiteford’s remarkable season continued this past week with an impressive blowout win against Erie-Mason. The final score was 58-6, and Whiteford is now 6-0.

Saline

Saline made easy work of Ann Arbor Huron this past week in a 43-7 win. This Hornets team is still undefeated and they are legit. Great win over the River Rats.
