We've got Power 25 battles, area rivalries and conference-deciding games in week eight of Michigan high school football.
Here are five games you should not have missed.
OK Conference set to lose seven schools
No. 2 Rockford (7-0) vs. No. 12 Grandville (6-1)
Two teams ranked in the top 10 of our Division 1 computer rankings.
Rockford has rolled through its schedule and has wins over Muskegon and Caledonia.
Grandville defeated Caledonia last week, and a win over the Rams would shake up the Division 1 contenders.
No. 3 Southfield A&T (7-0) vs. No. 14 West Bloomfield (5-2)
Another game between top Division 1 teams. West Bloomfield has had a very difficult season this year, and a win over Southfield would give the Lakers confidence headed into the final week of the season.
Southfield A&T is on a roll and has an opportunity to get its third win over a Power 25 opponent.
Portland (7-0) vs. Sexton (7-0)
Two undefeated teams in Division 4 will battle for what is likely the Capital Area Activities Conference - White title. Sexton is No. 5 in our Division 4 Computer Rankings, and Portland is No. 7.
South Christian (6-1) vs. No. 21 Grand Rapids Catholic Central (6-1)
A notable game in Western Michigan, Grand Rapids Catholic Central has rolled through opponents in Michigan. The Cougars' only loss is to Loyola Academy (IL), 45-7. They are No. 7 in our Division 5 computer rankings.
The Sailors are No. 13 in our Division 4 Computer Rankings, with their loss to East Grand Rapids.
This game will decide the OK Conference - Gold.
Detroit King (4-3) vs. No. 8 Cass Tech (5-2)
The Technicians won the first game 14-7, but the Crusaders had many opportunities to win the game. This one is for the Detroit Public School League Blue Division.
