Michigan high school football team of the week

Notre Dame Prep

We talked about this team a lot earlier in the season, and they are still dominating in late October. Notre Dame Prep demolished Edison Academy 51-0, and they are now 8-0 late into the season.

Rockford

Rockford has been as good as it gets all season long, and they continued their quest for perfection on Friday with an impressive 48-0 rout against Hudsonville. They are now 9-0 on the season.

West Bloomfield

West Bloomfield suffered a couple of losses earlier this season, but their response to those setbacks has been impressive. They just cruised to another win last week against Oak Park, and it looks like West Bloomfield is beginning to find their groove.

Clare

Clare was 2-2 at one point this year, but they have completely changed their season in the last five weeks. This team is now on a five-game win streak after a 28-14 win over Petoskey, and they have a lot of momentum.

Evart

After suffering a loss a few weeks ago, Evart was 4-2 on the season, but they seem to be finding their stride at the right time. Evart picked up a big 40-14 win over Harrison on Friday, and they are now 7-2.

Beaverton

Beaverton suffered a tough blowout loss two weeks ago against Gladwin, 50-0, and responding to a game like that can be tough. However, they bounced back on Friday with a big 21-0 win against Morley Stanwood. Great response from this team.

Frankenmuth

Frankenmuth lost their first game of the season, but they have been on a tear ever since. They had a big game on Friday against Gladwin, and they dominated to earn a 38-0 win. This Frankenmuth squad is legit.

New Lothrop

New Lothrop is another team that had an early season loss, but they have also turned things on dramatically ever since. They are now on a seven-game win streak, and the latest victory came in blowout fashion against Lake Fenton. New Lothrop is now 8-1.

Ishpeming

How about this turnaround from Ishpeming? This team was 1-3 earlier this season, and a big 30-0 win over Westwood on Saturday improved their record to 6-3. Ishpeming is hot right now.

Gwinn

It’s been a rough season for Gwinn, but they are still going out and competing every single week, and it paid off for them on Friday. Gwinn picked up their second win of the season with a 27-6 victory over West Iron County. Great work from that squad.
