Michigan High School Athlete of the Week nominees

Keshawn Fisher, River Rouge

Senior guard/forward Keshawn Fisher finished with a game-high 45 points for River Rouge despite a 89-76 loss to Notre Dame Prep. 

Macari Moore, Ann Arbor Huron

Junior guard Macari Moore did a little bit of everything for Ann Arbor Huron as he finished with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in a 72-71 overtime win over Northview. 

Carter Patrick, Cass City

Senior guard Carter Patrick caught fire for Cass City as he finished with a career-high 39 points in a 62-60 win over Caro to remain undefeated on the year. 

Graham Junge, Flat Rock

Junior Graham Junge had himself a career night for Flat Rock as he set two school records with a 47-point outing on 14 three-pointers as Flat Rock cruised past Monroe Jefferson, 97-59. 

Kaeson Frost, Bay City Western

Senior Kaeson Frost would drop 36 points for Bay City Western as they knocked off Bay City Glenn, 48-45. 

Harmony Laker, Wayland Union

Junior Harmony Laker would finish with 38 points to eclipse 1,000 career points to lead Wayland to a 72-56 win over South Christian. 

Summer Davis, West Bloomfield

Senior forward Summer Davis had herself a night as she dropped 32 points on eight three-pointers for West Bloomfield as they cruised past Rochester, 70-29. 

Averie Zinn, Genesee

For the second consecutive week, sophomore guard Averie Zinn is putting up video game numbers as she once again finished with 50 points to lead Genesee over Bridgeport, 73-52. This marks her second 50-point outing in three games. 

Halen McLaughlin, Sanford Meridian

Sophomore Halen McLaughlin had an impressive night for Stanford Meridian as she notched 32 points in a 76-32 win over Gladwin. 


Gabby Reynolds, Holland West Ottawa

Senior Gabby Reynolds continues to shine for Holland West Ottawa as she finished with 35 points in a win against Byron Center, 65-58. 

Levi Pennala, Brighton

Senior goalkeeper Levi Pennala would finish with 41 saves on 42 shots on goal and only allowed one score for Brighton in a 5-1 win against Notre Dame Academy. 


Fisher Gurney, Grosse Ile

Senior forward/defender Fisher Gurney notched a hat trick and more for Grosse Ile as he finished with four goals and three assists in a 9-1 win over Riverview Cabrini. 

Caden Gleason, Sparta

Junior forward Caden Gleason notched a hat trick with three goals as Sparta defeated Kalamazoo, 6-1. 

Lee LaPorte, Portage

Sophomore goalkeeper Lee LaPorte finished with 41 saves on 42 shots on goal while only allowing one score as Portage defeated Kenowa Hills, 7-1. 

Nash Leonard, Bay City

Junior goalkeeper Nash Leonard notched 39 saves on 40 shots on goal and allowed one goal to help Bay City get over Lake Orion, 5-1.
