The Michigan high school girls basketball regular season is close to its conclusion, and Rockford remains at the top entering the final week of the regular season.

No. 1 Rockford (20-1)
No changes at the top this week as Rockford continues to win. They picked up another good win this week over West Ottawa, who will be seen later in the rankings.
No. 2 Gabriel Richard (21-0)
Gabriel Richard is still perfect, and they are the highest ranked undefeated team that we have. This week, they picked up a good win over Detroit Renaissance. They will need a Rockford loss to move up to No. 1, however.
No. 3 West Bloomfield (18-1)
West Bloomfield continues to respond well to their first loss of the season. They shook it off, and they are winning again.
No. 4 Grand Rapids West Catholic (19-1)
As the weeks go by, Grand Rapids West Catholic continues to look better and better. This team is going to make a run in March.
No. 5 Goodrich (21-0)
Look at Goodrich! They just keep winning, and with some losses this past week by other schools, they are all the way into the top five.
No. 6 Orchard Lake St. Mary's (21-0)
Speaking of winning. Orchard Lake St. Mary’s had another impressive week to improve to 21-0 on the season. The quest for perfection continues.
No. 7 Detroit Edison (25-2)
Detroit Edison had a perfect week and picked up a huge win over Belleville in the process. This is a very impressive team.
No. 8 East Kentwood (18-3)
East Kentwood has done a good job of bouncing back from their loss to Rockford a couple weeks ago. They have now won three games in a row, including a nice one over Grand Haven a few days ago, and they are back on track.
No. 9 Negaunee (19-1)
Negaunee still has just the one loss on the season as they played well this past week. They should be able to get their win total into the 20s this week.
No. 10 Detroit Renaissance (18-3)
It was a tough week for Detroit Renaissance as they dropped a couple difficult matchups. They lost twice total, once to Tecumseh and once to Gabriel Richard.
No. 11 Ishpeming (19-1)
Ishpeming took care of business this past week to improve to 19-1 on the season. They are going to be an interesting team to watch once the playoffs come around.
No. 12 Chelsea (18-4)
Chelsea continues to quietly creep toward the top 10 of our rankings. If they keep up their winning ways, they might find themselves up there.
No. 13 Belleville (18-2)
Belleville fell to 18-2 this past week as they lost a tough one against Detroit Edison. We’ll see how they bounce back in the coming weeks.
No. 14 Brandywine (18-1)
Brandywine has done a good job bouncing back from their first loss of the season as they are back to their winning ways. They are now 18-1 on the year.
No. 15 DeWitt (18-3)
DeWitt continues to climb up the rankings as well as they have been winning a lot of games as of late. They will be a tough out in the playoffs.
No. 16 Detroit County Day (15-5)
Detroit Country Day surges all the way up to #16 this week after an impressive win over Arbor Prep recently. This is a very good basketball team.
No. 17 Arbor Prep (16-4)
Arbor Prep did lose to Detroit Country Day recently, but they have done a good job getting back on track. They have won two games in a row since dropping that one.
No. 18 Byron Center (17-4)
No blemishes this past week for Byron Center. They are looking good, and they went undefeated on the week.
No. 19 Dow (18-2)
Dow continues to be one of the biggest sleepers in the rankings. They are certainly capable of making a run and knocking off some top teams.
No. 20 West Ottawa (14-5)
West Ottawa dropped down a few spots after losing to Rockford. Nothing to be ashamed of there as Rockford is ranked #1, but it’ll be interesting to see how West Ottawa responds.
No. 21 Grand Blanc (16-3)
Grand Blanc had a good week and improved to 16-3 on the year. There are a lot of impressive things about this team.
No. 22 Frankenmuth (18-2)
Frankenmuth is another team that doesn’t get a lot of attention, but they have only lost two games this season. They could definitely make some noise in the playoffs.
No. 23 Grand Haven (17-5)
Grand Haven slid down a little bit after a loss this past week to East Kentwood. We’ll see if they can get back on track next week.
No. 24 Elk Rapids (19-2)
Elk Rapids remains in the rankings after a productive week. They are an impressive 19-2 on the season.
No. 25 Bedford (18-2)
Bedford is clinging onto the final spot as they are riding a four-game win streak. They lost to Saline a couple weeks ago, but they are looking better now.
