Photos: Wayzata defeats St. Michael-Albertville in first round of playoffs
The Trojans scored 26 unanswered points to pull away from the Knights
The No. 5-seed Wayzata Trojans defeated the No. 4-seed St. Michael-Albertville Knights 33-13 in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs Friday night at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
Trojan running back Deyon Loveless ran for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Cole Heilbrun threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns. Ford Griffith and Tyler Milkes caught the touchdowns for the Trojans.
The Knights scored first, but Wayzata scored the next twenty-six points to secure the win.
The Trojans will play Rosemount in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs.
