Girls’ Hockey

Celia Dahl, Orono

The senior goaltender made all 13 saves in a 6-0 shutout of Luverne in a Class 1A quarterfinal on Feb. 22. She made 24 saves on 27 shots to preserve a 4-3 win over Proctor/Hermantown in the semifinal on Feb. 24, and then she made 22 saves on 25 shots the next day in a 3-1 loss to the eventual champions from Warroad.

Kate Johnson, Warroad

The senior forward had a hat trick and three assists in a 15-1 record-setting drubbing of Albert Lea in a Class 1A quarterfinal on Feb. 22. She scored twice and assisted on another goal in a 4-1 semifinal win over South St. Paul on Feb. 24. She had another assist in the 3-1 win over Orono for the Class 1A championship. That’s 10 points over three playoff games.

Alexa Hanrahan, Gentry Academy

The senior forward played a part in all four goals scored in a 4-1 win over Andover for the Class 2A championship on Feb. 25. She had a hat trick and an assist. She had another key goal in a 2-1 win over Minnetonka in the semifinal a day before that.

Olivia Dronen, Moorhead

The senior defender had a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Rosemount to give Moorhead a third-place finish in Class 2A. She also had two assists in a 6-2 win over Centennial/Spring Lake Park on Feb. 24.

Uma Corniea, Edina

The senior goaltender made all 12 saves required to shutout Lakeville North, 6-0, on Feb. 23. She followed that up with 29 saves on 31 shots in a 2-1 loss to Andover on Feb. 24. She led the Hornets to the 3-2 win over Minnetonka for a third-place finish in Class 2A with 28 saves on 30 chances the next day.

Boys’ Hockey

Caden Lee, Chanhassen

The junior forward had two goals and two assists in a 9-0 rout of Bloomington Jefferson in a Section 2AA quarterfinal on Feb. 21. He played a part in both goals, scoring one and assisting on another, in a 2-1 win in the sectional semifinal over Eden Prairie on Feb. 25.

Brayden Boyer, Hibbing/Chisholm

The senior goaltender stopped all 29 shots on goal in a 2-0 shutout of Proctor in a Section 7A quarterfinal on Feb. 21.

Ryan Lund, Warroad

The junior defender had a hat trick in an 8-0 win over Park Rapids in a Section 8A quarterfinal, Feb. 23. He added two assists in a 6-1 win over Thief River Falls in the sectional semifinal two days later.

Will Seymour, New Prague

The junior forward had a hat trick and an assist in a thrilling 7-5 win over Albert Lea in a Section 1A semifinal on Feb. 25. In the sectional quarterfinal the previous day, he had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Faribault.

Jake Fisher, Cretin-Derham Hall

The senior forward committed to Northern Michigan had a hat trick and an assist in a 7-0 shutout of Apple Valley in a Section 3AA quarterfinal on Feb. 21. He followed that up with a goal and an assist in a 3-1 sectional semifinal win over Rosemount on Feb. 24.
