Class 4A

No. 1 Rosemount 10, No. 4 White Bear Lake 0

The Irish continued their undefeated season with a big win.

Irish pitcher Jessa Snippes pitched six innings and allowed only three hits, one walk and eight strikeouts. She added two RBIs with her bat.

Rosemount first baseman Paige Zender finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs

No. 3 Forest Lake 9, No. 2 Maple Grove

Forest Lake scored four runs in the top of the first inning. The Rangers added two in the third inning and one in the fourth inning.

Forest Lake pitcher Hannah Tong finished with one hit, 11 strikeouts and one walk in seven innings pitched.

Maple Grove's Madison Wihlm finished allowing 13 hits, eight earned runs, four walks and six strikeouts.

Rangers' Francie Gregor went 4-for-4 with three RBIs.


Class 3A

No. 3 Chisago Lakes 5, Delano 0

Chisago Lakes scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning. They tacked on one more in the third inning and another in the fourth inning. 

Chisago Lakes pitcher Anna Zaruba pitched seven innings. She allowed eight hits, no walks and eight strikeouts.

No. 1 Mankato West 7, No. 5 Cretin-Derham Hall 6

The Cougars pulled out the win in 10 innings. Two Cretin-Derham Hall errors in the 10th inning allowed the Cougars to score.

The Raiders started the scoring with two runs in the second inning. The Cougars answered with five runs in the third inning.

Cretin-Derham Hall scored three runs in the fourth inning, and each team scored a run in the fifth inning.

Both Mankato East's Kylinn Stangl and Cretin-Derham Hall's Brooke Nesdahl pitched 10 innings.

Stangl struck out nine. Nesdahl struck out eight.

Hailey Petzel had three RBIs for the Cougars.


Class 2A

No. 5 Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 2, No. 1 Le Sueur-Henderson 1

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to advance to the Class 1A state title game. Kayleigh Peterson drove in a run via a groundout, and Danielle Boyd then scored on a throwing error.

No. 2 St. Charles 8, St. Agnes 3

St. Charles built a 5-0 lead entering the fifth inning. St. Agnes scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to cut into the lead, but St. Charles pulled away in the sixth inning.

St. Charles Mya Ohmdal had four RBIs in the game.

St. Agnes pitcher Angela Proper struck out seven batter.


Class 1A

No. 2 Badger/GB-MR 2, Moose Lake/Willow River 1

Catcher Cassidy Dahl hit a two-run single in the fourth inning to take the lead after Moose Lake/Willow River scored in the first inning.

Badger/GB-MR makes the state title game for the fourth time in program history.

No. 5 Edgerton/SW MN Christian 2, Upsala 1

Edgerton/SW MN Christian waited until the sixth inning to tie the game and seventh inning to win it.

Outfielder Mateya Gullickson hit an RBI single for the walk-off win.
