Bloomington Kennedy (boys)
The Bloomington Kennedy Eagles handed then No. 3-2A DeLaSalle, the defending Class 2A champion, 4-2 on Thursday, Sept. 7 at DeLaSalle High School.
Sophomore Marlon Seahorn Jr. scored four goals. Christopher Gadeo Solorza had two assists, and Jessey Estudillo-Garcia had one.
New Prague (boys)
The Trojans drew with the then No. 4-2A Orono Spartans on Thursday, Sept. 7 at New Prague High School. The Spartans led 2-1 at halftime, but the Trojans scored in the second half for the tie.
Andrew Ruhland and Shea Dickerson scored for the Trojans.
Orono (boys)
Orono had a great week, too. The Spartans defeated then No. 6-2A Mahtomedi 4-1, drew with New Prague and defeated then No. 2-1A Minnehaha Academy 1-0.
Tiernan Bonner scored for the Spartans in the win over the RedHawks.
Eagan (boys)
Eagan was 1-1-3 entering a game against No. 7-3A Minnetonka on Saturday, but it defeated the Skippers 1-0.
Wayzata (boys)
The then No. 2 Trojans established themselves as the top team in Class 3A by defeating then No. 1 Minneapolis Washburn 5-1 at Wayzata High School on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Aiden Judickas scored two goals in the game.
Zimmerman (girls)
The Thunder got a big result when they drew 1-1 with then No. 1-2A Benilde St. Margaret’s. Lainie Wehmhoff scored the goal for the Thunder.
Woodbury (girls)
The Royals won their top-5 showdown with Stillwater 3-1 on Thursday, Sept. 7.
Minneapolis Southwest (girls)
The Lakers got their second win of the season in a 2-1 game against the No. 9-1A Breck. Adeline Smith scored both goals.
White Bear Lake (girls)
The Bears defeated then No. 7-3A Andover 2-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 5. Becca Smith and Jenna Maloy scored goals for the Bears.
Lakeville South (girls)
The Cougars defeated their crosstown rivals, then No. 9-3A Lakeville North, 1-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 6 to bring their record to 4-0.
