St. Thomas Academy

It's usually a good game when St. Thomas Academy and Mahtomedi play. The Cadets rode a big second quarter to cruise to a 42-14 victory over the Zephyrs.

Orono

The Spartans have teetered around .500 for the last several years, but that looks to be changing this year. The Spartans were leading just 22-21 after three quarters on Friday against Delano, but an offensive explosion in the fourth saw them escape with a 42-21 victory to improve to an impressive 4-0.

Rocori

It may have been the week of the Spartan as this time it was Rocori who impressed. The Spartans went on the road to Hutchinson and blanked the Tigers as a first quarter touchdown was all they needed to win 11-0.

Robbinsdale Armstrong

The Eagles have played elite defense all year, and that continued on Friday. The Eagles didn't let the Cretin-Derham Hall get anything going on offense as they breezed to a 41-7 victory.

Rogers

Tied 13-13 after three quarters to Spring Lake Park, Rogers defended home field and won 26-13 to move to 4-0 on the season.

Eden Prairie

The Eagles proved that they are the cream of the crop this year in 6A after a big win against previously undefeated Shakopee. The offense used a big second half to hold off the Sabers, winning 42-28.

Coon Rapids

The Cardinals and Champlin Park engaged in a good ole fashion shoot on Friday night. It was Coon Rapids though who would outlast the Rebels 41-34 to get back to .500.

St. Agnes

The Aggies continue to impress this season at 4-0. Their rushing attack stomped all over Holy Family Catholic. They ran 52 times for 374 yards and five touchdowns.

Owatonna

The Huskies defeated a solid Northfield team 26-21. Quarterback Jacob Ginskey threw for four touchdowns and 338 yards, and Nolan Ginskey had 11 receptions for 206 yards and three touchdowns.

Barnum

The Barnum Bombers defeated the Braham Bombers 27-26 to keep the undefeated season alive. Braham's loss is their first of the season. The win for Barnum places them at No. 2 in SBLive's Minnesota Class 1A computer rankings.
