Minnesota high school girls soccer state tournament scores, roundup
The Minnesota high school girls soccer state tournament begins today. All classifications play their semifinals today at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The finals will be played on Friday, Nov. 3. SBLive will have scores and live coverage throughout the state tournament.
CLASS 3A
Izzy Engle scored two goals in the first half, and Disha Roy added one in the second half to keep the Hornets undefeated and get them to the state final.
The Trojans scored three goals in the first half. Tenley Senden scored twice, and Grace Esten added the other.
Anya Gerlach scored the goal for Maple Grove to make it 3-1 entering halftime.
The Trojans added two more goal in the second half. Sarah Hyde and Davy Mokelke scored for the Trojans.
CLASS 2A
Elana Engum scored the first goal of the game for the Eagles in the 20th minute. The Stars answered 15 minutes later with a goal from Ellen Neuharth.
The Stars scored three goals in the second half. Audrey Garton, Adeline Judson and Eli Mejia Quintanilla scored for the Stars.
Brooklyn Miller scored both of Benilde-St. Margaret's goals in the first half. Faith Quinn scored for Winona, and the Red Knights had a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Benilde-St. Margaret's scored five goals in the second half. Miller added one more, Kiya Gilliand scored twice, and Sienna Carver and Aida Parker added goals as well.
CLASS 1A
Swayer Bollinger Danielson led St. Paul Academy with three goals in the second half to lead the comeback.
Avery Lampe and Tatum Janezich scored two goals in the first half for Providence Academy. Lucia Gonzalez cut the lead to 2-1 before halftime.
Maddyn Greenway scored in the 60th minute to tie the game at 3 for the Lions, but Bollinger's goal in the 78th minute puts St. Paul Academy into the final.
Sam Perez scored both goals for St. Charles. Maya Johnson scored for Southwest Christian.
