Top posts in Minnesota high school girls basketball

Trinity Wilson, senior, Lakeville North

The 6-foot-3 center is one of the top scoring threats down low in the state. She can score and distribute from the post, and she’s led the Panthers to a 17-4 record late in the season. Wilson is committed to Vanderbilt.

Ari Peterson, 8th grade, Providence Academy

Peterson is an eighth grader averaging 10.5 points per game, 6.1 rebounds and one block.

“Ari is one of the most dynamic 8th graders in the country,” Providence Academy head coach Connor Goetz said. “She is an uber athlete and is shooting the ball at a really efficient percentage.”

Sarah Clyde, senior, St. Agnes

Clyde is an all-around presence who only began playing basketball in the ninth grade.

“Sarah has worked tirelessly at her game in which both she and her team have experienced the fruits of her labor,” head coach Tommy Boyd said. “Despite battling nightly down low with other teams' posts, Sarah still finds the energy to average eight points per game in a balanced Aggie offense and 8.9 rebounds per game while also altering a majority of shots taken in the paint by opponents. Sarah also just surpassed the 500 career rebounds milestone in less than two years as a starting varsity player.”

Morgan Miller, senior, Andover

Miller is a scoring threat in the post who averages 13 points per game. She had a season-high 23 points in a win over Champlin Park in December. Her active hands gives her an interior presence on defense.

Willow Thiel, senior, Perham

Thiel is one of the top rebounders in the state. She has 259 rebounds in 19 games, according to stats submitted to MNgirlsbasketballhub.com. She’s also a 28 points per game scorer this season. Thiel led Perham to the Class 2A state tournament last season and scored 18 points in the quarterfinal.

Peyton Hoffman, 8th grade, Climax/Fisher

One of the best rebounders in the state as an eighth grader. She’s averaging 14.7 rebounds per game, according to stats submitted to MNgirlsbasketballhub.com. She’s already passes 1,000 career points.

Anna Stromberg, senior, Legacy Christian

Stromberg leads the state in total rebound with 322, according to stats submitted to MNgirlsbasketballhub.com. She recently became the career leader in rebounds with 1,128. She is committed to Radford University.

Karly Jusczak, senior, Pine City

Jusczak has led Pine City to a 16-5 so far this season, and she’s done it with 26.5 points per game and 14.4 rebounds. She is committed to the University of Idaho. 

Callie Oakland, sophomore, St. Croix Lutheran


Oakland is a key part of a duo that makes St. Croix Lutheran a tough team to beat. Oakland was named an all-conference player as an eighth grader. She’s averaging 16.4 points per game with 12.6 rebounds.

Natalie Beaver, senior, Hayfield

Beaver broke the Hayfield career rebound record in January with 813 rebounds. She’s a key reason why Hayfield has a 20-2 record so far this season. 

Erma Walker, freshman, Hopkins

Walker is a promising freshman already making an impact for a top Hopkins team. She had rebounds in a big win over Minnetonka. She has the ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket, and she’s developing as a scoring threat.
