The No. 3-seed Hill-Murray Pioneers (23-6) defeated the No. 6 Andover Huskies (19-9-1) 5-3 in the 2025 Minnesota high school girls hockey state tournament Class 2A quarterfinals on Thursday at Xcel Energy Center.

The Pioneers jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first period, but Andover scored in the final seconds of the period to cut the lead to 3-1.

Hill-Murray's Emily Pohl scored her second goal of the game to give the Pioneers a 4-1 lead in the third period. Andover asnwered with two goals to cut the lead to one in the third period, but Pohl completed the hat-trick with an empty-net goal.

Hill-Murray will play No. 7-seed Rosemount in the Class 2A semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center. Andover will play Centenial/SLP in the consolation bracket at TRIA Rink.
