1. Oak Grove (7-0) beat Brandon 24-22

It was ugly, but the top-ranked Warriors survived. “I hope so,” said Warrior coach Drew Causey when asked if the outcome was a wake-up call for his team, which had not been seriously challenged in its six previous games. “We definitely didn’t play with the energy the way we needed to play. 2. Warren Central (5-1) lost to Clinton 31-16

The Vikings gave up a season-high 31 points as another Power 10 team tumbles. Warren Central now has to regroup for a matchup with Starkville on Oct. 30. -- GAME STORY

After charging up the Power 10 rankings to No. 4, Oxford looked impressive in a shutout of Olive Branch. Xavier Walton led the defensive effort with three interceptions. The Chargers have now won 20 consecutive games.

5. D’Iberville (7-0) beat Gulfport 22-13

After a lengthy lightning delay, Northwest Rankin pulled out a last-second victory for the second consecutive week. And it was kicker Christian Baglione coming through with the game-winning field goal again, this time a 34-yarder as time expired.

10. Lake Cormorant (5-2) lost to Grenada 12-10

One week after making their season debut in the SBLive Power 10, the Gators drop a heart-breaker to Grenada.
