PEARL — The MHSAA has announced that all three Mississippi high school baseball state championship games scheduled for Wednesday, May 25 at Trustmark Park have been postponed in anticipation of thunderstorms.

Weather forecasts show at least a 60 percent chance of rain in Pearl starting around 10 a.m. and lasting well into the evening.

The original schedule had Class 2A, 3A and 6A playing Game 1 of their best-of-three championship series Wednesday. Those games will now be played Friday at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively (See updated schedule below).

Game 2 in those series will take place Saturday, alongside any Game 3s from the 1A, 4A and 6A series. If several of the series go to a Game 3, any remaining games could be played Sunday.

Play began Tuesday afternoon at the home of the Braves' AA affiliate.
