Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Mississippi High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 25-Oct. 1 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Jay Bonner, QB, Senatobia

Completed eight of his 11 passes for 112 yards and rushed 10 times for 100 yards, scoring four touchdowns in a 34-31 win over New Albany.

Ahmad Hardy, RB, Lawrence County

Rushed for 400 yards on 16 carries with four touchdowns in a 53-37 win over Sumrall.

Zach Gullung, RB, Hancock

Rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 60 yards and a score in the Hawks’ 22-20 win over Florence.

Isaiah Lindsey, DL, West Jones

Thoroughly harassed the Patriots with seven tackles, including five for a loss, and four sacks in the Mustangs’ 21-6 win over Jackson Prep.

Prentavis Madison, ATH, Simmons

Provided 120 yards and three touchdowns on the ground and recorded six tackles, a forced fumble and an interception in the Blue Devils’ 44-32 win over South Delta.

SanFrisco Magee, WR, McComb

Caught eight passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers’ thrilling 28-26 win over Laurel.

B.J. Mitchell, LB, Hattiesburg

Was credited with 13 tackles and forced three fumbles, recovering one of them in a 34-28 overtime win over George County.

Braylen Williams, QB, Nettleton

Completed 15 of his 18 passes for 378 yards and six touchdowns and added 89 yards and a score on the ground in a 47-26 win over Aberdeen.
