Congratulations to the seven Mississippi seniors voted as the inaugural winners of the Miss Volleyball Award.
Here’s a look at this year’s winners:
- Class 7A - Emily Davis, Brandon
- Class 6A - Sofia Gonzalez, Lake Cormorant
- Class 5A - Harmony Jackson, Lafayette
- Class 4A - Emma McKee, Caledonia
- Class 3A - Kerstin Moody, Belmont
- Class 2A - Macie Phifer, Ingomar
- Class 1A - Jolee Young, Hickory Flat
The award, designed to honor the top volleyball player from each of the seven Mississippi High School Activities Association classification, is the first of its kind in Mississippi.
"We've been searching for ways to include all of our team sports with a Mr. and Miss award," MHSAA Director Rickey Neaves said. "And through our partnerships with C-Spire, we were able to get this award going for volleyball this year. We think it will be a great asset to promote volleyball in the state of Mississippi."

Like the Mr. Football and Mr. and Miss Basketball awards, the winners were chosen by a panel of coaches and media members from across the state who met periodically throughout the season.
The winners will be honored before the championship matches for each class at the MHSAA Volleyball Championships in Oxford on Oct. 19-20.
