Congratulations to Marquette girls basketball power forward Katie Baumgartner for being voted SBLive’s Missouri High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 17-23!

The senior was a huge part as to why Marquette nabbed a 47-44 win over Westminster last Wednesday, tallying a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds.

Baumgartner received 57.69% of this week’s vote, beating out Fox's Jason Piwowarczyk who finished second with 20%. SLUH's Nick Kramer finished third with 10.77% and Lutheran St. Charles' Frank May finished fourth with 2.31%.

Nicole Hagerman, Bronaugh girls basketball

Hagerman dropped a double-double during Bronaugh’s 51-35 win over Northeast last Friday with 27 points and 12 rebounds to go along with seven assists and six steals.

Jordan Fuemmeler, Higbee boys basketball

Fuemmeler has the second-highest scoring total on the boys’ side of this week’s list, dropping 38 points and nine rebounds during a 78-37 win over Braymer last Friday.

Addison Brownfield, Boonville girls basketball

Brownfield was eyeing a quadruple-double during Boonville’s 64-25 win over Marshall, scoring 23 points, grabbing eight rebounds, dishing out eight assists and recording eight steals.

Michael Howard, Plattsburg boys basketball

Howard was nearing a triple-double during a 68-50 win over Northland Christian with 34 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Kadie Rounkles, Tina-Avalon girls basketball

During a 59-50 win over Concordia last Monday, Rounkles paved the way for the victory with 29 points and 12 rebounds.

Coby Williams, Versailles boys basketball

Williams was a part of this week’s high-scoring list, scoring 37 to go along with seven assists during a 101-97 loss to California.

Riah Robinson, Clever girls basketball

Robinson had 25 points and three steals, effectively outscoring the other team during a 76-23 win over Purdy last Monday.

Conner Hof, CBC boys hockey

Hof had 27 shots sent his way during an eventual 0-0 tie with SLUH, and the junior saved every single one of them.

Ayden Shannon, Wellington-Napoleon girls basketball

Shannon, similar to other hoopers on this list, outscored the entire opposing team with a 62-23 win over Oak Grove with a 24-point outing.

Brock Lucas, St. Elizabeth boys basketball

Lucas was the difference for St. Elizabeth during a 76-66 win over Vienna by scoring 30 points to go along with six rebounds.

India Willis, Macks Creek girls basketball

Willis led Macks Creek to a 64-16 victory over Climax Springs with 28 points, seven rebounds and six steals.

Nick Kramer, SLUH boys basketball

Kramer led SLUH to a 56-49 win over Soldan last Wednesday by scoring a team-high 22 points.

Allie Turner, John Burroughs girls basketball

Turner was crucial toward John Burroughs’ 69-48 win over Lutheran South last Friday, scoring 20 points in a game that the Bombers won by 21.

Libby Brewster, Francis Howell girls basketball

Brewster dropped a team-high 28 points and grabbed three rebounds during a 52-43 win over Holt last Tuesday.

Andrew Young, Marquette boys basketball

The Marquette girls have a star, and so do the boys. Young dropped 34 points and had eight rebounds during a 70-55 win over Vianney last Wednesday.
